Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Connecticut is seeking a Produce Team Member to support receiving, prepping, displaying, and selling produce in line with WFM standards. You will break down deliveries, stock shelves, and maintain a fresh, clean department.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Stand 6–8 hours in an 8-hour shift.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• No prior retail experience required.

Responsibilities

• Keeps cases and shelves clean and well stocked through front-facing, code checking, rotation, and removal of out-of-date products.
• Assists Team Leader in organizing and displaying volume and seasonal items.
• Monitors spoilage and communicates waste to buyers and supervisors.
• Completes spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets as required.
• Assists with periodic inventory checks.
• Arrives on time and prepared to work; attends trainings and meetings.
• Provides excellent customer service and uses suggestive selling techniques.
• Preps, stores, rotates, stocks, and merchandises product to maximize sales potential.
• Follows health, safety, and sanitation procedures; maintains clean work and shopping environments.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties and ensures pricing accuracy.
• Reports safety hazards or violations promptly.
• Performs other duties as assigned by leadership.
