Job summary

General Produce Company in California seeks a Quality Control Specialist for our Sacramento warehouse. You will inspect and document product quality, verify receiving and returns, and ensure compliance with GMP/SOP standards to keep our products safe and fresh.

In this full-time role you will work Sunday–Thursday 4:00 AM to 12:30 PM, perform quarantine and traceability tasks, and support data entry in the WMS. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year in quality control and a strong work ethic.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• 1 year in quality control preferred; experience in produce handling or warehouse operations acceptable.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, safety and accuracy in all tasks.
• Ability to work effectively in a team to meet operational goals.

Responsibilities

• Schedule: Full time, Sunday-Thursday 4AM-12:30PM.
• Quality Checks: remove outdated or noncompliant items and document quality at all stages using the Q/C app.
• Receiving & Verification: verify and record incoming and returned merchandise for counts, sizes, and condition.
• Discrepancy Reporting: identify nonconforming or miscounted items and report to Procurement.
• Product Control: follow quarantine, release and traceability procedures.
• Data Management: maintain product data in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Food & Workplace Safety: follow GMPs and SOPs for a safe environment.
• Compliance Monitoring: ensure allergen and organic policy compliance; report corrective actions.
• Operational Support: assist inbound, in-house, backhaul, and return processes.
