Job summary

Golden Corral in Michigan seeks an energetic Food Prep Person to assist with fresh produce prep for the buffet. You will cut, slice, and prepare fruits and vegetables, label and rotate items, and ensure freshness and quality for the Cold Choice Buffet.

Maintain a clean prep area, follow portion control, and assist in keeping buffet areas stocked and presentable while adhering to health and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepares prep items according to product specifications and recipes.
• Maintains inventory according to prep production guides and updates as directed.
• Ensures optimum yield and rotates all bulk produce and prepped items.
• Labels, dates, and rotates items; uses proper storage.
• Follows buffet production system for quality and shelf life compliance.
• Notifies Manager of discrepancies like spoilage or waste.
• Assists buffet attendant in maintaining a full, clean buffet.
• Cleans and maintains prep area, cooler, equipment, and dry storage.
• Performs duty roster and ensures cleanliness, service, and quality standards.
• Follows local health department laws.
• Performs administrative tasks and helps guests during meals.
