Job summary

Food Lion in Morganton, NC seeks a Produce/Perishable team member to provide quality customer service in the Produce Department and maintain standards per the manual, while maximizing sales and minimizing shrink.

You will handle merchandise, assist customers, learn ACIS/CAO tools, and follow safety guidelines. The role requires a neat appearance and readiness to complete CBT and training.

Qualifications

• High school graduates preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position.

Responsibilities

• Maintain enthusiastic customer awareness with fast, friendly, and accurate service to create a positive shopping experience.
• Courteous and helpful to other associates.
• Ensure correct ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying of merchandise.
• Unload trucks for the Produce Department.
• Understand and use company tools such as ACIS and CAO.
• Adhere to company guidelines, policies and standard practice.
• Follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines and procedures.
• Report accidents according to Food Lion procedures.
• Wear the Food Lion uniform with apron and name badge on duty.
