Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a team member to support the Produce department. Responsibilities include receiving and preparing products, stocking shelves, and maintaining displays while upholding WFM standards. The role emphasizes courteous, friendly service and safety compliance.

The position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, flexibility for nights/weekends/holidays, and a readiness to perform additional duties per leadership. No prior retail experience is required.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Must lift 50 pounds.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• 8-hour shift with standing/walking 6-8 hours.
• Ability to use knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks.

Responsibilities

• Keeps cases and shelves clean and well stocked, front-facing products.
• Assists Team Leader in organizing and displaying volume and seasonal items.
• Monitors spoilage and communicates waste to buyers and shift supervisor.
• Completes spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets as required.
• Assists with periodic inventory checks.
• Provides excellent customer service, answers phones promptly, and suggests upsell techniques.
• Maximizes sales through proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising.
• Follows procedures including health, sanitation, and safe work practices.
• Maintains clean and sanitary working/shopping environment and equipment.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties with pricing accuracy.
• Reports safety hazards and violations immediately.
• Performs other duties as assigned by leadership.
