Job summary

Food Lion seeks a Perishable Department team member to deliver high-quality customer service and maintain product displays in meat, dairy, and deli areas. You will participate in ordering, receiving, and stocking while adhering to Food Lion policies and safety standards.

Ideal candidates have strong communication skills, a willingness to learn multiple tasks, and the physical capability to handle lifting and stand for long periods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain enthusiastic customer awareness with fast, friendly, accurate service.
• Be courteous and helpful to other associates.
• Use store tools such as ACIS and CAO for inventory and ordering.
• Receive deliveries, code, rotate and store appropriately.
• Ensure proper ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying of merchandise.
