Job summary

Food Lion is hiring for a Perishable Department role focused on delivering quality customer service and maintaining standards. You will work in a fast-paced environment handling meat, dairy and frozen goods, rotate stock, and ensure accurate pricing and presentation.

You will also assist teammates and follow all safety guidelines to minimize shrink and maintain a welcoming store experience. Candidates should have strong communication and organizational skills and be comfortable using store

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain enthusiastic customer awareness with fast, friendly, accurate service.
• Be courteous and helpful to other associates.
• Understand and use ACIS and CAO for inventory and ordering.
• Receive deliveries, code where applicable, rotate and store properly.
• Ensure ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying comply with policies.
• Maintain proper product levels in the Perishable Department: meat, lunchmeat, dairy, ice cream.
• Process beef and grinds as directed from the production tool when needed.
• Wrap, label, weigh and stock meat cases as requested.
• Clean and sanitize the department and maintain layout standards.
• Follow safety guidelines and report accidents per Food Lion procedures.
