Save-A-Lot, Ltd. is seeking a Meat Wrapper to learn and perform the handling, packaging, weighing and labeling of beef, pork and poultry. You will maintain displays, assist with ordering, and ensure cold chain integrity and sanitation across meat areas.

The role emphasizes teamwork, accuracy in pricing, and adherence to USDA/COOL standards while supporting store operations and customer service.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Experience in grocery perishable department or meat wrapping preferred
• Able to read, write and speak English; basic math skills

Responsibilities

• Package beef, pork and poultry per company policies and procedures
• Wrap, weigh and price cuts of meat
• Label packages according to COOL, USDA and company standards
• Maintain displays and case signs; merchandise to maximize sales
• Assist with product ordering and rotation; stock as needed
• Receive, inspect, and store meat on delivery to maintain cold chain
• Clean and sanitize meat cases and rooms; uphold sanitation standards
• Follow all policies including COOL, Food Safety, and Meat Cutting procedures
• Protect company property and merchandise; support store operations
