Save A Lot in Columbus, OH is hiring for a Meat Wrapper who will learn to handle fresh meat and manage the department's product presentation. You will wrap, weigh, label, and price cuts while ensuring cold chain and sanitation standards are maintained.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in grocery perishable department or meat wrapping preferred.
• Proficiency in basic math: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

Responsibilities

• Learns to package beef, pork and poultry items according to company policies and procedures.
• Wraps, weighs and prices cuts of meat.
• Labels packages according to COOL, USDA and company standards.
• Ensures displays and case signs are updated and meat is merchandised to maximize sales.
• Receives, inspects, and stores meat upon delivery to maintain cold chain and quality.
• Completes cleaning and sanitation of meat cases and rooms to maintain standards.
