Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club in Montowese, CT is seeking a Meat Department team member to receive, rotate, wrap, and merchandise fresh and processed meats. You will assist members by answering questions and recommending products while upholding safety and cleanliness standards.

Responsibilities include weighing, packaging, labeling, and stocking meat, poultry, and seafood; inspecting deliveries; and maintaining signage and department organization. Beneficial to have experience in a meat/deli setting.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with fresh and processed meats preferred.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• Prior experience working in a meat and/or deli department preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receives, rotates, wraps, and merchandises meat, poultry, and seafood products.
• Weighs, packages, wraps, and labels cuts of meat and seafood.
• Inspects and stores meat upon delivery and maintains case stock levels.
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of equipment, displays, and cases in the meat department.
• Ensures compliance with club policies and procedures and safety standards.
