Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a Meat Department team member to receive, rotate, wrap, and merchandise fresh and processed meats, and assist in seafood, rotisserie, prepared foods, and cheeses. You will help Members by answering questions and recommending products, while maintaining cleaning and safety standards within the meat department.

Prior experience with fresh/processed meats is preferred, as is knowledge of wrapping machines.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with fresh and processed meats preferred.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• Prior experience working in a meat and/or deli department preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance to Members by answering questions regarding meats, poultry, and seafood.
• Weights, packages, wraps, and labels cuts of meat, poultry, and seafood.
• Rotates meats, poultry, seafood, prepared foods, and cheeses according to expiration dates.
• Maintains cleanliness and safety standards in the meat department.
