Job summary

WinCo Foods is hiring for a meat department position. You will maintain the level of fresh meat production, ensure customer service and product quality, and keep the department clean and compliant with safety standards.

Shifts run across early mornings to late evenings in a 24/7 operation, with varied hours and weekend coverage. Responsibilities include cutting, grinding, wrapping meats, setting proper temperatures, stocking and displays, and engaging customers to provide fast, friendly service.

Qualifications

• Experience cutting meat in a retail environment.
• Completion of a culinary training or equivalent program is preferred.
• Able to follow production guides and recipes.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes, engages, serves and thanks customers with friendly service.
• Cuts, grinds, and wraps fresh meat products per standards.
• Maintains proper temperatures during all meat preparation steps.
• Ensures merchandising, signing, and eye-appeal of department.
• Performs duties to prevent shrink and control expenses.
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of work area and equipment.
