Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a Team Member for the Prepared Foods department in Gaithersburg, MD to prepare, serve, stock, and maintain sanitary displays while delivering courteous, friendly service.

You will work with a team, follow SOPs, and help with opening/closing duties, inventory, and merchandising. The role requires ability to lift up to 50 pounds and flexible hours including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Cuts, prepares, and serves hot and cold foods such as meats, cheeses, sandwiches, burritos, wraps, salad, and pizza
• Samples products to customers
• Stocks cases and displays with prepared foods from kitchen and prep areas
• Rotates and checks product dates for freshness
• Assists with inventory and merchandising tasks
• Provides excellent customer service and answers phones promptly
• Maintains clean and sanitary work environment and follows safety standards
• Follows opening, mid, and closing procedures and ensures pricing accuracy
