Job summary

Whole Foods Market, Inc. is hiring for a Team Member in the Prepared Foods department. You will cut, prepare, and serve hot and cold foods, restock cases, and assist customers with product sampling while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.

You will work as part of a team, follow procedures, and support store programs. Flexibility for varied shifts including nights and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Customer service orientation and ability to engage with customers and Team Members.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail in food preparation, labeling, and merchandising.

Responsibilities

• Cuts, prepares, and serves a variety of hot and cold foods (meats, cheeses, sandwiches, burritos, wraps, salad, pizza).
• Samples products to customers and assists with service in the prepared foods area.
• Stocks cases and displays with prepared foods from kitchen and walk-in prep areas; rotates stock for freshness.
• Monitors in-stock dates and maintains sanitation and cleanliness.
• Supports inventory checks and daily closing tasks as assigned.
• Provides excellent customer service, answers phones and assists customers promptly.
• Promotes sales through proper prep, storage, rotation, and merchandising procedures.
• Follows health and safety regulations and maintains clean, safe working environment.
• Arrives on time, groomed and prepared for shifts; participates in required trainings and meetings.
