Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market, LLC is seeking a Deli Clerk to assist customers with healthy food choices and prepare fresh, easy meals in a fast-paced deli environment.

You will maintain deli displays, handle special orders, and operate slicers and other deli equipment while upholding cleanliness and safety standards. The role requires a friendly, flexible team player with strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, or an acceptable education/experience combination.
• Dependable and reliable.
• Outgoing, friendly behavior with positive attitude and customer interaction skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Good communication skills; ability to take directions and work in a team.
• Ability to answer phones and take special orders.
• Able to lift/carry up to 70 lbs. for distances.
• Able to stand up to 8 hours per shift.
• Perform general housekeeping and maintain a clean deli area.
• Operate deli equipment safely and follow company procedures.
• Adhere to safety, health, and regulatory requirements; Food Handlers permit preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in healthy food choices and prepare fresh and easy meals.
• Provide high level of customer service and ensure proper preparation, packaging, and presentation of deli items; keep area clean.
• Fill, maintain, and rotate products and displays.
• Prepare special orders and party trays.
• Operate slicers, ovens, microwaves, cutting tools, scales, and other deli equipment.
