Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market in Centennial, CO, is seeking a Deli Clerk to prepare fresh meals, assist customers with healthy food choices, and keep the deli area clean, well organized and presentable.

You will operate slicers and other deli equipment, fill and rotate displays, handle special orders and party trays, and ensure safety and sanitation while delivering friendly, efficient service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Age 18+ with high school diploma or equivalent; grocery/restaurant experience preferred.
• Be dependable and reliable.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with positive attitude and customer interaction.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Good communication skills; able to take direction and work in a team.
• Ability to answer phones and take special orders.
• Able to lift up to 70 lbs. and stand for up to 8 hours per shift.
• Maintain clean, safe deli area and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in making healthy food choices by preparing fresh meals.
• Provide high level of customer service and ensure deli items are properly prepared, packaged, and displayed.
• Fill, rotate, and maintain products and displays; prepare special orders and party trays.
• Operate slicers, ovens, microwaves, cutting tools, scales and other deli equipment per standards.
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of deli area and equipment; remove spills and hazards.
• Receive, inspect, and log product shipments for quality and temperature.
