Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Deli Clerk to help customers select healthy deli options and prepare fresh meals. You’ll operate slicers, ovens, and other deli equipment, while keeping the area clean and well-stocked.

The role requires a friendly, reliable team player who can work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends. Prior grocery/food service experience is a plus, with basic food safety knowledge expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with strong customer service.
• Good communication and ability to take direction; work well in a team.
• Able to lift up to 70 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Knowledge of safety/food handling and a Food Handlers permit.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in selecting healthy deli options and preparing 'fresh and easy meals'.
• Provide high level customer service and ensure deli items are prepared, packaged, and presented; maintain deli cleanliness.
• Fill, rotate, and display products; prepare special orders and party trays.
• Operate deli equipment (slicer, ovens, microwaves, scales) following company standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe deli area and equipment; sweep and sanitize workspaces.
• Receive, inspect, and log products for shipment quality and temperature.
