Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. is seeking a Deli Clerk to assist customers with healthy food choices and help prepare fresh and easy meals. You will handle deli items, maintain displays, and support special orders in a fast-paced grocery environment.

Responsibilities include operating slicers and other deli equipment, ensuring cleanliness, rotating stock, and logging shipments. A friendly, reliable team player who can work flexible hours is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent and experience in grocery, restaurant, or related field, or equivalent education/experience.
• Dependable and reliable.
• Outgoing, friendly behaviour with positive attitude and ability to interact with customers.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Good communication skills; ability to take direction and work in a team.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Lift/carry up to 70 lbs. for up to 20 feet without mechanical aid, up to 4 hours.
• Stand for up to 8 hours per shift.
• General housekeeping in the department; clean and sanitize work area.
• Operate deli equipment; maintain equipment safety.
• Adhere to safety, health, and Weights & Measures regulations; Food Handlers permit.
• Ability to work in cooler/freezer temperatures.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in making healthy food choices by preparing “fresh and easy meals.”
• Provide a high level of customer service and ensure deli items are prepared, packaged, and presented, while keeping the deli area clean and sanitary.
• Fill, maintain, and rotate products and displays.
• Prepare special orders and party trays.
• Operate slicers, ovens, microwaves, cutting tools, scales and other deli equipment per company standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the deli area and equipment.
• Receive, inspect, and log product shipments for accuracy, temperature, and quality.
