Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. is seeking a Deli Clerk to join our fast-paced deli team. You will help customers with healthy choices, prepare fresh meals, and ensure deli displays are well-presented and clean.

Role requires lifting up to 70 lbs, standing for long periods, and flexible availability including nights, weekends and holidays. DailyPay and a 15% household discount are among benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Be dependable and reliable.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with a positive attitude and ability to engage customers.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Good communication skills; ability to take direction and work in a team.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Lift/carry up to 70 lbs./20 ft. without mechanical assistance for up to 4 hours.
• Stand for up to 8 hours per shift.
• Perform general housekeeping and keep deli area clean and safe.
• Operate deli equipment and maintain safe conditions; follow safety regulations.
• Must have Food Handlers permit and work in varied temps.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in choosing healthy options and prepare fresh and easy meals.
• Provide high level of customer service and ensure deli items are properly prepared and presented.
• Fill, rotate, and display products and displays.
• Prepare special orders and party trays.
• Operate slicers, ovens, microwaves, and other deli equipment safely.
• Keep deli area clean and sanitary; sweep and sanitize surfaces.
• Receive and log shipments for accuracy and quality.
