Job summary

Tec Group International is seeking two French-speaking Engineering Managers to lead Owner's Engineering activities for major capital projects in Quebec. The role focuses on governance, quality, and external partner oversight rather than detailed design.

You will manage external engineering service providers, ensure schedule alignment, and communicate across French and English speaking teams throughout FEL1 to execution phases.

Qualifications

• Fluency in French and English is essential.
• Extensive experience managing engineering activities on major industrial capital projects.
• Experience overseeing external engineering consultants, EPC contractors or Engineering Service Providers.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Owner's Engineering Manager on major capital projects.
• Manage and coordinate external Engineering Service Providers.
• Lead multidisciplinary engineering activities across the project.
• Review engineering designs, specifications and technical deliverables.
• Ensure engineering quality, consistency and compliance with applicable standards.
• Support project development through FEL1, FEL2, FEL3 and execution.
• Challenge engineering assumptions and provide technical direction.
• Facilitate design reviews, constructability reviews and value engineering activities.
• Coordinate interfaces between engineering, project management and construction.
• Monitor engineering schedules, deliverables, risks and technical decisions.
• Communicate effectively with French- and English-speaking stakeholders, contractors and site teams.
