Glenbard Township High School District 87 seeks a Foreign Language - French Club Sponsor to oversee the 0.25 FTE student organization at West. The sponsor will supervise elections, approve candidates, train officers, and coordinate with APSS to manage club operations and funding.

The role requires strong communication skills, reliability at meetings, and the ability to navigate school policies. This is a part‑time, on‑site position within Glenbard West High School.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents such as correspondence, surveys and electronic media.
• Ability to write professional communications.
• Ability to present information effectively and to respond to questions from individuals and groups.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and community members.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in written form.
• Ability to complete mathematical operations and apply concepts of basic mathematics.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to maintain current job skills as directed, especially in technology-related activities.
• Ability to perform essential duties with an awareness of school district requirements and School Board policies.

Responsabilités

• Supervise all elections and certify the results.
• Approve club office candidates; screen those with disciplinary records.
• Train officers and guide club operations.
• Submit constitutions for new clubs to APSS.
• Approve club announcements, meetings, and materials.
• Be present at meetings, events, and fund-raisers.
• Inventory equipment and supplies annually.
• Complete forms and reports as directed.
• Consult with APSS for smooth club functioning.
• Represent club at events such as Activity Night and Booster Night.
• Ensure representation at Presidents Council Meetings.
• Coordinate with APSS to access Skyward accounts.
