Job summary

Glenbard South High School is seeking a Spanish Club Sponsor to supervise all activities of the student organization and coordinate with the Assistant Principal for Student Services. The role requires overseeing elections, approving candidates, training officers, and ensuring compliance with district policies.

The sponsor will schedule events, manage communications, attend meetings and represent the club at council and booster activities, with duties aligned to the Extracurricular Schedule.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents such as correspondence, surveys and electronic media.
• Ability to write professional communications.
• Ability to present information effectively and to respond to questions from individuals and groups.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and community members.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all activities of the student organization.
• Coordinate elections and certify results.
• Approve candidates for club office; bar students with disciplinary records.
• Train officers and members in handling their offices.
• Submit and file constitutions or charters when first organized.
• Approve club announcements, meeting dates, and materials.
• Be present at meetings, events, and fundraisers.
• Maintain equipment inventory and complete required forms.
• Consult with APSS for smooth club operation.
• Represent the club at various school functions.
• Ensure representation at Presidents Council Meetings.
