Qualifications

• Seniority-based role with on-call availability 24/7 and minimum 90 minutes notice.
• Must pass FRA drug and alcohol screening and have a valid driver's license.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 85 lbs and walking several miles per shift.
• No prior railroad experience required; comprehensive on-the-job training lasts about 20 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Build and inspect trains, railcars, and equipment for safe operation.
• Operate remote control locomotives and perform coupling, align drawbars, apply hand brakes, and ride railcars.
• Communicate effectively with crews, dispatchers, and yard controllers.
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with FRA and company safety regulations.
