Norfolk Southern Corp. is seeking a Conductor to safely move freight trains, build and inspect trains, and manage railcar operations. The role requires flexibility in shifts, on-call availability, and entry into a union after training.

You’ll undergo 20 weeks of on-the-job training with lodging and stipends during the initial phase. During the role, you’ll learn to report incidents, follow FRA rules, and work across teams to ensure on-time deliveries.

• Seniority-based job with on-call requirements.
• Willing to work 24/7 with 90 minutes notice.

Aufgaben

• Build and inspect trains, railcars, and equipment for safe operation.
• Operate remote control locomotives and couple/uncouple cars.
• Communicate with crews, dispatchers, and yard controllers.
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with FRA and company safety rules.
• Report to work within 90 minutes and have reliable transportation.
• Pass FRA drug and alcohol screening as part of pre-employment.
