The role is seniority-based, with initial extra board placement and 24/7 on-call requirements. Training lasts about 20 weeks, with postings in multiple locations and comprehensive benefits after one year.

Qualifications

• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must be available to work on-call, 24/7, with as little as 90 minutes’ notice.
• Must pass pre-employment Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) drug and alcohol screening.
• You’ll join a union within 60 days after completing training.

Responsabilités

• Build and inspect trains, railcars, and equipment for safe operation.
• Operate remote control locomotives and perform coupling, alignment, and brake tasks.
• Communicate effectively with crews, dispatchers, and yard controllers.
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with FRA and company safety regulations.
