Job summary

Training lasts about 20 weeks with on-site and travel support; no prior railroad experience is required. You may be away 2–3 days weekly and are encouraged to join the union within 60 days after training.

Qualifications

• On-call availability 24/7 with 90 minutes notice.
• Seniority-based progression; start on extra board until bidding on regular assignment.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Build and inspect trains, railcars, and equipment for safe operation.
• Operate remote control locomotives and perform coupling, brake, and ride duties.
• Communicate effectively with crews, dispatchers, and yard controllers.
• Maintain accurate FRA and company documentation and comply with safety rules.
