Lynden Transport, Inc. is seeking a Customer Service Representative who is driven by a passion for customer service, delivering critical information across channels.

You will manage cargo availability, routing, and freight rating details for truck, steamship, barge, and plane, ensuring timely responses and accuracy. Ideal candidates will be detail‑oriented, able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and communicate clearly with customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, procedure manuals, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information to customers and colleagues.
• PC skills and typing (50 wpm) and ability to use office software.

Responsibilities

• Respond to a diverse range of customer inquiries in person, by phone, and via email.
• Provide information on rates, routing, packing procedures, and interline transportation processes.
• Process Bills of Lading for receiving, ensuring accuracy and data entry into the office system.
• Input Bills of Lading and delivery receipts into Lynden’s imaging system with accuracy.
• Notify customers of freight availability and schedule delivery appointments.
• Possibly perform dock checks and work overtime as needed.
