Job summary

Buckle in Texas is seeking a Freight Coordinator to support our mission: to create the most enjoyable shopping experience possible for our Guests. You will handle receiving and unpacking daily shipments, shipping merchandise, backroom maintenance, and routine cleaning of facilities.

Key duties include verifying merchandise invoices, preparing FedEx labels, organizing fixtures, and maintaining orderly shipment paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Verify merchandise invoices against items received to ensure shipments are correct
• Send alterations, layaways, or special orders to Guests via FedEx
• Check accuracy of freight packing slips and transfer slips
• Double-check transfers processed through the register and match items being shipped
• Fold items and place in appropriate boxes for presentation when unpacked
• Place Sensormatic tags on garments in designated places
• Hang and fold merchandise for the sales floor and steam when necessary
• Assist on floor projects when required
• Develop and maintain knowledge of POS software
• Receive freight boxes and store transfers through the register
• Maintain shipment-related paperwork
• Watch for security risks and prevent or handle thefts
• Create FedEx labels and sort packages by transit time
• Submit recalls and RTVs weekly
• Keep supplies stocked and organized
• Organize fixtures and shelving
• Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area
• Communicate policy violations to Store Manager / District Manager / HR
• Provide feedback on merchandise handling to management
• Follow Buckle’s Code of Ethics and policies
• Fulfill mission with high levels of customer service and teamwork
• Perform special projects and other duties as assigned
