Job summary

IBMC is seeking a Freight and Business Analyst Engagement to support a fast-growing UK 3PL and e-commerce fulfillment group. The role blends freight operations with business analysis, SOP development, and revenue capture, leveraging Notion to standardize processes across the freight desk.

You will tender lanes, benchmark rates, and negotiate improvements while building structured SOPs and playbooks. The position requires 3+ years in related logistics roles and fluent English for UK leadership

Qualifications

• 3+ years in freight forwarding, logistics procurement, carrier rate negotiation, or 3PL operations.
• Strong business operations analysis or agency/consulting background with process mapping.
• High proficiency in data analysis, rate benchmarking, cost modeling, and management reports.
• Experience writing SOPs, process workflows, and Notion/workspace knowledge libraries.
• English C1 level or above (written and spoken).
• Shift availability UK business hours (09:00–17:00).
• Hands-on experience with Mintsoft or comparable WMS, carrier portals, and freight rate databases.

Responsibilities

• Carrier Procurement & Rate Desk: Benchmark carrier and forwarder rates, run lane tendering, build rate databases, negotiate improvements using group volumes.
• Freight Operational Execution: Manage core freight workflows, monitor daily operations, and inform clients of shipment updates.
• SOP & Knowledge Base Build: Conduct knowledge capture sessions, translate experience into SOPs, runbooks, checklists in Notion.
• Billable Activity & Revenue Capture: Audit freight and warehouse operations to capture all billable items.
• Business Analysis & Executive Reporting: Perform cost analysis, update Notion, deliver daily operational reports, support leadership.
• Pre-Despatch Quality Control: Implement pre-despatch controls to prevent documentation errors.
