Job summary

Roadrunner is seeking a Freight Quality Inspector to ensure accurate shipment classification, proper documentation, and tariff compliance across inbound and outbound freight. You will identify revenue recovery opportunities, document changes, and maintain tight controls to protect margins.

You will collaborate with operations, sales, and terminal leadership to elevate quality, reduce rework, and share actionable feedback.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required.
2–3 years in freight operations, inspections, or related logistics.
Strong understanding of freight classification, weight/density, and inspection processes.
Proficiency with PCs including email, spreadsheets, and database systems.
AS/400 or industry-specific systems experience preferred.
Advanced mathematical capabilities including statistics and data interpretation.
Ability to create reports and clearly communicate findings.
Experience handling sensitive business and customer data with confidentiality.

Responsibilities

Execute shipment inspection and revenue capture; identify reweigh, reclass, and revenue opportunities.
Enter shipment changes based on inspections and dimensioning systems; ensure correct tariff application.
Aim for accurate classifications, densities, and tariff calculations; uphold inspection standards.
