Job summary

Morrison Express is seeking a pricing analyst in Compton, CA to handle pricing requests for air and ocean shipments, review client requirements, and suggest optimal methods and carriers to meet specs and costs. You will collaborate with sales and operations to understand market trends and bid flows.

The role includes RFQ coordination and building internal Excel templates for bid management. Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree and 2+ years in pricing or operations within freight

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university.
• Minimum 2+ years of pricing or operations experience in freight forwarding.
• Knowledge of freight movement, standard charges, and incoterms.
• Strong organization, analytical, written and oral communication skills.
• Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with good judgment.
• Self-motivated, customer-service oriented, and team-focused.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a dynamic setting.
• High attention to detail and readiness to handle data-heavy tasks.
• Advanced Excel skills for data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Complete transactional air and ocean pricing requests and spot quotes.
• Review and understand client shipment requirements when quoting.
• Analyze and recommend ideal shipping methods, routing, or carriers to meet requirements and costs.
• Build relationships with internal sales and operations to understand market trends.
• Follow up with sales and record rate request results.
• Work on special projects and reports as needed.
• For RFQs, act as single point of contact to manage bid flow and create internal Excel templates.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
