Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management, or equivalent job experience.
• 3-5 years of audit, payables, transportation/logistics, or equivalent experience at a manager level.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
• Strong leadership and managerial skills.
• Demonstrated ability of high level of critical thinking and planning ahead.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day activities of the Freight Payment team with focus on efficiency and leadership.
• Collaborate with Logistics, Finance, and Accounting on freight accruals and payments.
• Set, monitor, and enforce department policies, procedures, and goals.
• Analyze dashboards and analytics to measure and improve performance.
• Identify opportunities to drive improvements in invoice processing, payments, and reporting.
• Prepare and present research, reporting, and results in virtual and in-person settings.
• Maintain relationships with transportation carriers.
• Develop staff for future growth; coach on performance issues.
• Support special projects and system upgrades as needed.
