Job summary

TJX Companies is seeking a Manager of Freight Payment to lead the day-to-day activities of the Freight Payment team, partnering with Logistics Finance and Accounting to support accurate budgeting and forecasting. You will provide senior leadership with reporting and analysis, and drive improvements in invoicing, payments, and system enhancements.

Responsibilities

• Work cross-functionally with Logistics, Logistics Finance, Accounting and Expenses Payable to ensure efficient, accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments.
• Set, monitor, and enforce department policies, procedures, and goals.
• Analyze dashboards and other analytics to measure and improve performance.
• Identify opportunities to drive improvement with invoice processing, payments, and reporting; recommend system changes when appropriate.
• Prepare and present research, reporting, and results in virtual and in-person settings.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key transportation carriers.
• Manage staff to develop them for future growth within the department and organization.
• Coach and counsel staff on individual performance issues.
• Provide support for special projects, business initiatives and system upgrades.

The Manager of Freight Payment leads and coordinates the day-to-day activities of the Freight Payment team, ensuring the department operates efficiently and effectively while providing leadership and guidance to associates. The role partners closely with Logistics Finance and Accounting on freight accruals and payments to support accurate budgeting and forecasting, and provides senior leadership with reporting and analysis to inform business decisions and financial planning.

• Work cross-functionally with the Logistics organization, Logistics Finance, Accounting, and Expenses Payable to ensure efficient, accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments.

Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual incentive as well as long-term incentives.
