Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. is seeking a Manager of Logistics Operations on the Consolidation Team to support the flow of goods from ports and domestic vendors to our U.S. stores. You will collaborate with 3PL partners to ensure products are received, processed, and delivered across the distribution network.

You will own the budgets, monitor performance against KPIs, and drive continuous improvement at Consolidation/Transload facilities. Travel up to 25% is required to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

• Drives operational excellence for flow through Consol/Transload warehouses and related transportation strategies.
• Oversees 3PL managed Consol/Transload operations, KPI standards, and SOPs.
• Drives Peak Season plans and execution to support business needs.
• Delivers performance against KPIs and budget; performs root cause analysis and creates action plans.
• Manage exceptions and serve as escalation point for all building/outbound issues.
• Continuously monitor freight volume and flow to ensure timely arrival of product.
• Identify and implement new supply chain processes to improve freight flow.
• Interact with Field leadership, Distribution partners, Loss Prevention, 3PL Providers and transportation providers.
• Support strategic projects across the supply chain to drive efficiency and cost savings.
• Travel up to 25% as required.

Job description

As a Manager of Logistics Operations on the Consolidation Team, you will play a crucial role in our supply chain network, supporting the flow of goods from our ports and domestic vendors to our U.S. stores. You will work closely with our 3PL partners to ensure product is received, processed, and delivered throughout our distribution network.

You will be responsible for the financial budgets, operational performance, and service standards of your assigned 3PL consolidation facilities, ensuring we get the right product to the right place at the right time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drives operational excellence for flow through Consol / Transload warehouses, including transportation optimization, Carrier compliance and peak season strategies
• Oversees management and execution of 3PL managed Consol / Transload operations, KPI standards and SOPs / best practices are executed at standard or better
• Drives Peak Season plans / strategies and execution to support the challenging needs of the business
• Consistently delivers operational performance against established KPIs and budget, performs rooting-cause analysis as needed and creates necessary action plans to manage performance
• Manage exceptions and be the escalation point for all building/outbound issues
• Continuously monitor freight volume and flow to ensure product arrives when needed
• Identify and implement new supply chain processes and improve current processes to positively impact freight flow
• Interacts with Field leadership, Distribution partners, Loss Prevention, 3PL Providers and transportation providers to ensure overall execution of service/standards
• Support strategic special projects across the supply chain to drive efficiency, value, and cost savings to TJX
• Must be able to travel at least 25% of the time and as business needs require

Minimal Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain preferred with 5-7 years’ of applicable experience
• Strong Critical Thinking and Problem Solving skills; no day is the same in off-price retail, the ability to assess situations quickly and provide alternate solutions is key to success
• Excellent communicator with the ability to build and maintain relationships; you are the face of TJX to many of our external strategic partners.
• A self-director who can manage their own timelines and set priorities
• Ability to influence others without authority and an agile learner
• Ability to work in a demanding, fast-paced environment; products move quickly through our supply chain network, it is important to react quickly to incoming requests
• Flexible and adaptable; priorities change frequently based on business demands, the ability to change direction quickly is critical

This position has a starting salary range of USD $117,000.00 to $152,100.00 per year. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual incentive as well as long-term incentives.
