Job summary

XPO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Freight Operations Supervisor in Minnesota to lead and supervise all aspects of freight operations within a distribution environment.

You will develop procedures, assign workloads, and manage hourly staff across multiple shifts to meet production goals while ensuring safety and policy compliance. The role requires LTL knowledge, DOT regulations, and strong leadership with the ability to multitask and motivate a team.

Qualifications

• 2 years of related work experience in a warehouse, distribution, supply chain, transportation or similar environment.
• Knowledge of the LTL industry, hazardous materials regulations and DOT rules and regulations.
• Available to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights and weekends.
• Bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Distribution or Logistics, or 4 years of related work or military experience
• 2 years of supervisory experience
• LTL industry experience
• Positive attitude with the ability to multitask and motivate your team
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and administrative skills

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all aspects of freight operations.
• Develop and implement strategic work procedures to meet evolving department demands.
• Evaluate, manage, assign and supervise workloads and tasks.
• Supervise hourly staff across operations and act as primary contact for workplace concerns.
• Ensure production goals are met by managing tonnage, payroll and admin functions.
• Plan employee schedules to meet goals and reduce costs.
• Enforce all applicable policies and laws (FMCSR, OSHA, CCMTA, NSC, DOT).
• Train employees on safety and processes and drive continuous improvement.
