Job summary

XPO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Freight Operations Supervisor in Las Vegas, NV to lead and supervise all aspects of freight operations, develop efficient procedures, and ensure on-time, damage-free delivery. The role requires strong leadership and the ability to manage workloads while controlling costs.

You will enforce safety and regulatory policies and mentor a team of operators and clerical staff. The position offers competitive pay, comprehensive benefits starting day one, and opportunities

Qualifications

• 2 years of related work experience in a warehouse, distribution, supply chain, transportation or similar environment.
• Knowledge of LTL industry, hazardous materials regulations and DOT rules and regulations.
• Available to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all aspects of freight operations.
• Develop and implement strategic work procedures to meet evolving department demands.
• Evaluate, manage, assign and supervise workloads and tasks.
• Supervise hourly staff across operations and act as primary contact for workplace concerns.
• Ensure production goals are met by managing tonnage, payroll and other administrative functions.
• Plan hourly employee schedules to meet daily operations goals and lower costs.
• Enforce company, FMCSR, OSHA, CCMTA, NSC and DOT policies and laws.
• Provide instruction and ideas for improvement of operations within the shift.
