Job summary

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise freight handling teams and operational staff.
Assign tasks, provide guidance, and monitor performance.
Coordinate loading, unloading, and handling of freight shipments.
Ensure proper documentation, labeling, and packaging in compliance with regulations.
Plan and prioritize freight operations to meet customer demands and deadlines.
Monitor workflow and adjust resources to optimize efficiency.
Liaise with customers, carriers, and stakeholders to coordinate freight movements and address inquiries.
Ensure timely communication and resolution of customer concerns.
Implement quality control measures to ensure accuracy of freight handling processes.
Conduct inspections and audits to maintain high service quality.
Enforce safety protocols and conduct safety training.
Oversee inventory control, stock management, cycle counts, reconciliation.
Maintain inventory records and compliance with policies.
Prepare operational reports with performance metrics and incident reports.
Maintain documentation of freight movements (bills of lading, manifests).
