Job summary

Summary

The Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of freight handling, ensuring timely and efficient movement of goods. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, managing operational processes, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise a team of freight handlers and operational staff.

Educational background / Work experience
  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or related field. Relevant certifications or training in freight operations management are advantageous.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in freight operations or logistics roles, with demonstrated experience in supervisory or leadership positions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance standards.
Language skills
  • Fluent in English (oral and written)
Computer Literacy
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and transportation management systems (TMS)
