Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced International Freight & Logistics Manager to lead domestic and global transportation operations for a growing organization. This role is responsible for managing import/export activities, freight partners, customs compliance, shipping costs, and logistics performance while ensuring products move efficiently through the supply chain.

The ideal candidate brings strong experience in international shipping, freight management, customs regulations, and logistics leadership, along with the ability to drive process improvements and build strong relationships with carriers and service providers.

Freight & Logistics Manager Responsibilities

• Manage domestic and international transportation activities, including air, ocean, and ground freight
• Coordinate shipments with carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, suppliers, and manufacturing partners
• Negotiate transportation rates and service agreements to maximize efficiency and control costs
• Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, customs requirements, and shipping documentation standards
• Oversee logistics reporting, shipment tracking, and transportation metrics
• Manage inventory movement and support supply chain operations
• Lead, train, and develop logistics personnel while promoting operational excellence
• Monitor logistics budgets and identify opportunities for cost savings and workflow improvements
• Utilize transportation and warehouse management systems to improve visibility and efficiency
• Partner with internal departments to ensure timely deliveries and high customer satisfaction

Qualifications & Experience

• Previous experience in international freight, logistics, transportation, import/export, or supply chain management
• Strong understanding of customs procedures, international shipping regulations, and trade compliance
• Experience managing relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and logistics vendors
• Proven ability to negotiate freight rates and transportation contracts
• Leadership experience managing logistics or transportation teams
• Proficiency with TMS, WMS, ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and logistics reporting tools
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities
• Experience in consumer products, manufacturing, distribution, beauty, wellness, or retail industries is a plus
