FedEx Freight is seeking a dock/warehouse teammate to transport freight between dock areas and trailers. The role involves operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, and ensuring paperwork matches freight details.

Responsibilities include securing freight in trailers, recouping damaged items, completing reports, and assisting customers. Lifting requirements and shift hours may vary by need.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Prior experience in warehousing, freight handling or fork lift operations preferred.
• If hostler/yard mule duties required, experience preferred.
• Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift/carry hand freight up to 100 pounds and open trailer doors with up to 75 pounds of lift force.

Responsibilities

• Transport freight across dock area to/from trailers for loading to trailers.
• Operate motorized and manual equipment (forklift, pallet jack, hand truck).
• Verify paperwork matches freight description.
• Secure freight inside trailers using pallets, straps, or rope.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight as needed.
• Complete required documentation and reports.
• Assist customers with freight and freight documentation.
