Job summary

Cargolux in Houston seeks a detail-oriented freight operations specialist to ensure accurate acceptance and handling of cargo, while ensuring compliance with safety and security regulations. You will report incidents per policy and coordinate actions as needed in emergencies.

Qualified candidates have 1–3 years’ experience, strong communication and analytical abilities, and are willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Travel domestically and internationally for training may be required.

Qualifications

• Highschool diploma or equivalent experience.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience.
• Regulatory and compliance experience required.
• Strong supervisory experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Ensure correct execution of freight acceptance and handling tasks.
• Ensure flight and ground operations comply with the Ground Operations Manual and quality system.
• Comply with local and international Safety and Security rules; report incidents to authorities.
• Coordinate activities as Official-in-Charge during accidents or incidents per procedures.
