Job summary

iWorkforce Solutions LP in Houston, TX is seeking an organized Freight Coordinator to join our logistics team. You will manage daily inbound and outbound shipments, coordinate cargo movement across multiple modes, and serve as the central link between clients, carriers, and warehouses.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of freight routing experience, a high school diploma (a degree in a related field is a plus), and proficiency with TMS/ERP systems and Excel.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in freight routing, logistics, dispatching, or freight brokerage.
• High school diploma; a degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business is a strong plus.
• Proficiency with TMS, ERP, and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
• Excellent phone presence and written communication skills for driver and client interactions.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and track dozens of shipments simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Cargo Movement: Plan, schedule, and track daily inbound and outbound shipments across various modes (LTL, FTL, Air).
• Carrier Management: Dispatch carriers, negotiate spot rates, and schedule pickups/deliveries.
• Real-Time Tracking: Monitor shipment statuses and address delays, updating clients promptly.
• Documentation & Compliance: Create and audit BOLs, invoices, and packing slips.
• Problem Resolution: Resolve freight issues and file claims for damaged goods.
• Data Integrity: Maintain logs of freight rates, delivery statuses, and carrier compliance in the TMS/ERP.
• Financial Auditing: Cross-reference carrier invoices with quotes for billing accuracy.
