Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 2-3 years experience in distribution/transportation is preferred.
• Ability to learn service area and delivery locations to coordinate drivers deliveries.
• Knowledge of distribution and transportation industry; experience with routing software.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate activities of owner-operators and third-party carriers for freight delivery.
• Monitor load readiness and coordinate delivery times with receiving locations and vendors.
• Advise receiving locations of driver ETAs and re-route to maintain on-time deliveries.
• Enter load progress and delivery data in routing software in real time.
• Assist Load Planner, use driver hours reports to plan loads and matching loads to drivers.
• Maintain communication with backhaul coordinators to integrate backhauls into plans.
• Prepare and update status, daily, inbound and weather reports.
