Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate activities of owner operators, drivers, and third party carriers.
• Communicate delivery and backhaul schedules to contractors and drivers.
• Coordinate with receiving locations and distribution centers for load tendering.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and driver hours of service adherence.
• Prepare daily dispatch sheets and load plans for accurate data entry.
• Secure appointments with backhaul vendors to ensure timely inbound/outbound movement.
• Assist dispatchers during transit breakdowns and arrange repairs/towing.
• Monitor trailer locations and refrigeration status as needed.
• Promote positive relationships with contractors/drivers and respond to inquiries promptly.
• Complete all required reports accurately and on time.
