Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum two (2) years’ experience in Customer Service and Import Documentation required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Intermediate to advanced experience with MS Word, Excel, Outlook
• Moderate to advanced typing skills and 10-key by touch (40-45 wpm)
• Advanced communication skills in English in order to communicate with customers.
• Ability to follow procedures and instructions.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers and fellow employees.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment within established systems and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule drivers for pick-up and delivery.
• Ensure documentation is submitted timely and correct, and distributed to customers.
• Collect Bills of Ladings and verify information for accuracy.
• Inform customers of cargo arrivals/departures with notices and copies of bills of lading.
• Coordinate data entry into computer systems and dispatch software.
• Interact with truck drivers to consolidate orders into truckloads.
• Handle heavy phone communications and keep customers informed.
