Hayward designs, manufactures, and markets a full line of residential and commercial pool and spa equipment including pumps, filters, heating, cleaners, salt chlorinators, automation, lighting, safety, flow control and energy solutions at our company owned facilities. Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, Hayward also has facilities in Tennessee, Arizona, and Rhode Island as well as Canada, Spain, France, Australia, and China.This position is based in Mocksville, NC.

Position Overview

Coordinates the movement of all trailer movement and yard report accuracy. Also coordinates the creation, invoicing and filing of bills of lading for outbound shipments. Also arranges for the pickup of freight.

Responsibilities

  • Constant interaction with inbound dock, outbound dock, Receiving, Lentz buildings, and switcher drivers to coordinate the movement of trailers back and fourth from the yard to the dock and from the main building to offsites.
  • Tracks all trailer movement.
  • Reviews dock Receiving List for accuracy prior to generating bills of lading.
  • Uses PC and AS400 based applications to generate bills of lading.
  • Calls/faxes/emails carriers for pick up scheduling.
  • Creates receivers for inbound shipments.
  • Validates all bills of lading have been signed correctly and turned back in from drivers.
  • Invoices /Bills bills of lading after pickup. Files bills of lading if necessary.
  • Backup responsibility for setting up/scheduling to the floor small parcel shipments.
  • Creates/prints necessary daily reports for the department utilizing Microsoft Office and AS400 applications.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Education And Experience

High school diploma with at least six months experience; Familiar with and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word; Familiar with and have a working knowledge of AS400 applications; 1 to 3 years in shipping/receiving/transportation bill of lading processing. Some college preferred.

Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos/emails. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions and percentages.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.
