Position Summary

A growing international freight forwarding and logistics company in the Houston area is seeking an Operations Specialist with experience in freight forwarding, logistics, transportation, supply chain, or import/export operations.

This position is responsible for coordinating international and domestic shipments from booking through final delivery, communicating with customers and service providers, preparing and reviewing shipping documentation, tracking shipments, and resolving operational issues.

The ideal candidate has hands on freight forwarding experience and understands the day to day coordination required between customers, carriers, truckers, warehouses, customs brokers, and other logistics partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate ocean, air, and ground import/export shipments from booking through final delivery.
• Prepare, review, and maintain import/export and shipping documentation.
• Track shipments and provide timely status updates to customers.
• Coordinate with ocean carriers, airlines, trucking companies, warehouses, customs brokers, and other service providers.
• Assist with customs related documentation and shipment clearance coordination.
• Communicate directly with customers regarding shipment status, documentation requirements, delays, and other operational matters.
