Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and physical standards.
• One or more years of welding and fabrication experience is preferred.
• Veterans and transitioning service members encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, and maintain freight cars in compliance with FRA and AAR standards.
• Operate welding/cutting operations (SMAW and FCAW).
• Operate forklifts, cranes, and car-moving equipment.
• Rerail cars and locomotives using rerailing equipment.
• Complete and enter data in computer systems regarding car components and repairs.
• Work safely around heavy, moving equipment and wear PPE.
