Base pay range

$90,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr

Job Overview

Are you a seasoned freight broker looking for a company that recognizes your worth? We are seeking a high-performing Freight Broker with proven experience in perishables and refrigerated freight. This is a remote position, but candidates must be located near Madison, WI (Reasonable Driving Distance) for occasional in-person collaborations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full freight brokerage process: prospecting, booking, tracking, and delivery.
• Handle temperature-sensitive loads with precision and urgency.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with shippers and carriers.
• Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and customer requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams to optimize logistics solutions.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5+ years of hands-on experience in freight brokerage, specifically in refrigerated/perishable freight.
• Demonstrated success in cradle-to-grave operations (including operational or carrier problem resolution).
• Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with TMS platforms and standard load boards.
• Must be based near Madison, WI (Realistic Driving Distance).
