Base pay range

$65,000.00/yr - $125,000.00/yr

We are seeking a high-performing Freight Broker with proven experience in perishables and refrigerated freight. This is a remote position, but candidates must be located near Madison, WI (within reasonable driving distance) for occasional in-person collaborations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage the full freight brokerage process: prospecting, booking, tracking, and delivery.
2. Handle temperature-sensitive loads with precision and urgency.
3. Build and maintain strong relationships with shippers and carriers.
4. Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and customer requirements.
5. Collaborate with internal teams to optimize logistics solutions.

Qualifications

1. 3 to 5+ years of hands-on experience in freight brokerage, specifically in refrigerated/perishable freight.
2. Demonstrated success in cradle-to-grave operations (including operational or carrier problem resolution).
3. Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
4. Proficiency with TMS platforms and standard load boards.
5. Must be based near Madison, WI (within realistic driving distance).
